In July 2021, Cyrus came to stay with me and my family outside of Baltimore, MD. Though he was mostly wheelchair-bound, he loved spending time with his grandchildren. He said that his greatest wish was to be able to fly them in a plane, so I arranged for him to (co)pilot a small Cessna from Learn To Fly DC. Here’s all of us, being flown across Maryland by my then-83 year old father.
